Alexander Zverev Prediction: Cincinnati

• After his setback in Montreal, Zverev is expected to be the favourite for this Cincinnati Masters 1000.

• The fast playing conditions in Cincinnati should allow him to meet expectations, and I clearly see him comfortable in his part of the draw.

• His main competitors are named Rafael Jodar (~4), Flávio Cobolli (~12) and Tommy Paul (~13): players who are not really in form recently, or who have played way too much to hope for anything.

• I'm not even sure Jodar will line up in Cincinnati, and whatever happens, if he does, I don't see him going very far.

• Zverev therefore seems to have all the cards in hand to win another Masters 1000 title in his career (the 8th) with the absence of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
