• I tend to trust Otto Virtanen in this final round of Wimbledon qualifying and I find that the market has more or less priced this match correctly.

• The Finn is the favourite and I can't really blame the market, already because his profile is naturally very well suited to grass.

• Big first serve, excellent play on the first shot and ability to shorten the rallies as soon as he has the opportunity.

• This is exactly the type of player who can become extremely difficult to manoeuvre on grass.

• What I also like is his experience, Virtanen has already experienced this kind of event and has a lot more benchmarks on the ATP circuit than his opponent.

• He has also already shown that he can perform on this surface, notably at Wimbledon where he came through the qualifiers a few seasons ago.

• On the other side, Nicolai Budkov Kjaer remains one of the greatest hopes in world tennis, his potential is immense and his progression is impressive but he is still relatively inexperienced on grass at this level.

• And even if the Norwegian leads 2-0 in the head-to-head this season, the two matches were extremely tight and were played on very different surfaces.

• I tend to think that the transition to grass favours Virtanen more, his serve should give him a lot of free points and his aggressive game is much more difficult to counter on this surface.

• We are also in a format where experience counts for a lot, especially in the final round of a Grand Slam qualifier with a place in the main draw at stake.

• I have a lot of respect for Budkov Kjaer and I am convinced that he will make a name for himself very quickly on the ATP circuit but today, between the experience, the benchmarks on grass and a profile perfectly suited to the conditions of Wimbledon, I tend to trust Otto Virtanen.
