- Stefanos Tsitsipas is in the process of rebuilding his summer. A month ago, he was ranked 85th in the world. Since then, he has won the title in Gstaad, his first since February 2025, and he has already regained about thirty places in the rankings.
- On Saturday, for his first match, he dismissed Keegan Rice in two sets, with 93% of points won behind his first serve. A Tsitsipas serving at this level won't be bothered on his service games, and that's going to count today.
- Because on the other side, Martin Damm ticks all the boxes of the serious contender: left-handed, 22 years old, a huge serve, 13 aces in his last match here. At Wimbledon this summer, he won a match where all four sets went to a tiebreaker. This guy doesn't give up his serve easily.
